I love drawing and painting. Always have. Plain and simple. I learned everything I know and do by studying the greats from the past and simply working it out.
I'm am heavily influenced by such literary greats as Neil Gaiman, Susanna Clarke, Terry Pratchett, the incomparable H.P. Lovecraft.
As with most artists, music moves my hand. Bands such as the Beatles and Donovan as well as Celtic Frost, Coroner, Black Sabbath, the Ventures, and Megadeth inspire me. Megadeth's Rust in Peace is responsible for hundreds of drawings and paintings.
My art is heavily influenced by movements like abstract expressionism, surrealism, and modernism in America. Some particularly influential artists include Arthur Dove, Robert Motherwell, and Yves Tanguy.
I paint mainly what I call abstract landscapes or skyscapes, choosing pen and ink, acrylics, or my absolute favorites, watercolors, as my mediums.
My work is or was on display in the Sidewalk Cafe in New York City, Phoenixville Center for the Arts, The Lighthouse in Phoenixville, Artform in Lower Burrell, Steel City Coffeehouse in Phoenixville, and several Pittsburgh coffeehouses.
